Real Madrid went back to the top of the LaLiga table with a narrow 1-0 win over Getafe on Sunday.

The game turned around in dramatic fashion, after substitute Allan Nyom was shown a red card less than one minute after coming on.

Moments after the incident, Kylian Mbappe broke free to score the decisive goal for Los Blancos.

It is Mbappe’s 50th goal of 2025 for club and country.

Getafe finished the game with nine players after Álex Sancris was shown his second yellow card in the 84th minute.

However, Thibaut Courtois produced an excellent save in second-half stoppage time to preserve the win, as Getafe nearly stole a point late on despite being down two players.

The result takes Madrid to 24 points, two points more than Barcelona who they face next Sunday.
