Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has insisted his team “do not feel like champions yet” following a 2-1 win over Real Madrid on Sunday.

The victory saw the Catalans move 12 points clear at the top of the LaLiga table.

Real took an early lead when Vinicius Jr’s cross was headed into his own net by Ronald Araujo.

Barcelona were level on the stroke of half-time through Sergi Roberto, before Franck Kessie netted an injury-time winner for Barcelona.

The victory means Barca are 12 points clear with 12 games left.

But Xavi claims there is still work to do, before they secure their first league title since 2019.

“The league is not decided but it’s a huge win of course.

“There are 12 games left, we don’t feel like champions yet.

“I think we deserved the win and we were better than Real Madrid, we created more chances. It’s a step forward and I’m very happy for the players,” Xavi said.
