Head coach of the Brazil football national team, Carlo Ancelotti, has revealed what he told Vinicius after his El Clasico bust-up.
Vinicius reacted angrily towards Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso after he was subbed off in their El Clasico win against Barcelona a few days ago.
The 25-year-old was visibly angry when he was taken off and replaced by Rodrygo in the 72nd minute of the game while Real Madrid still led 2-1.
The Brazilian international later apologized to Alonso, teammates, fans and the entire club for his behaviour, which has received widespread criticism.
Speaking on the development, Ancelotti, who also coached Vinicius during his time as Real Madrid manager, said he told the winger that he made a mistake.
“I spoke to Vinícius about the El Clásico issue with Xabi Alonso, about the reaction,” Ancelotti said as quoted by The TouchlineX.
“I told him what I thought, that he made a mistake. He understood. He apologised, I think it’s resolved.”
