pain head coach, Luis de la Fuente, has insisted that Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has a long way to go in his career.
He stated this at his pre-match interview ahead of Spain’s international friendly clash with Egypt on Tuesday.
According to De la Fuente, Yamal’s best is yet to come, adding that he is in a development phase
“He’s in a development phase and is contributing more and more to the team with each passing day,” De La Fuente said.
“He has a long way to go, and his best version is yet to come.”
Yamal has scored 21 goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions this season for Barcelona.
The 18-year-old finished second place in the 2025 Ballon d’Or rankings, behind winner Ousmane Dembele.
