Manchester United head into their Premier League clash with Everton dealing with a handful of injury concerns that could influence team selection.

The Red Devils have been with the momentum in recent weeks, and they will be eager to maintain consistency, but fitness issues in key areas of the squad remain a talking point. The coaching staff will need to carefully assess player readiness as they prepare for what is expected to be a competitive encounter.

Matthijs de Ligt remains sidelined with a back injury that has kept him out since late last year, and he is not expected to return in time for the Everton fixture. Midfielder Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu is also unavailable after suffering a hamstring problem, with his recovery projected to extend into late March or early April.

The injury to these players reduces options at the back and in midfield, forcing adjustments in both structure and squad depth. There is, however, positive news regarding Mason Mount and Harry Maguire. Mount is closing in on a return after missing recent matches with a minor knock, while Maguire has resumed training following a hamstring concern.

If both are declared fit, it would provide a timely boost for Manchester United as they look to secure an important result away from home on Monday, February 22, 2026.

The Red Devils are currently in fourth place and will hope they can continue in thst consistency when they face Everton to maintain their position
