Dwight, the son of the late Nigerian evangelist Dr. Uma Ukpai, has spoken publicly for the first time since his father’s passing, sharing an emotional tribute that moved many online.

Taking to Instagram, Dwight penned a heartfelt message to honour his late father, whose death at the age of 80 sparked widespread mourning across Nigeria and beyond.

Dr. Uma Ukpai was a revered preacher, widely celebrated for his decades of evangelism, healing crusades, and humanitarian service that touched countless lives.

In his post, Dwight shared a touching photo of himself with his father and wrote:

“Thank you daddy. Thank you. Long live the king.”

The simple yet powerful message stirred emotions across social media, as followers, friends, and admirers of the late evangelist flooded the comments with words of sympathy and support.

Many described Dr. Uma Ukpai as a rare spiritual icon whose faith, teachings, and legacy will continue to inspire generations.
