A man reportedly broke into the Romanian home of controversial social media figure Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, and attacked a construction worker with a knife.

Andrew Tate claimed on social media that the intruder “sliced open” a worker’s arm during the attack, which took place while renovations were ongoing on the property. The injured worker reportedly required emergency medical attention, according to Romanian outlet Gândul.

Tate added that the suspect had been “lurking” around the area for a while before the attack. A few hours later, the man allegedly returned to the property and was apprehended by security personnel before being arrested by the police.

Tate, who is currently under ongoing legal scrutiny in Romania, expressed frustration over the delayed response, saying it “took him trying to kill a man before [the police] took action.” He also noted that the home is visited by his children and emphasised that security remains a top expense for them.

Andrew and Tristan Tate are currently facing charges in Romania, including rape and human trafficking. Both deny the allegations and are awaiting trial while under movement restrictions.

The UK’s Crown Prosecution Service has also filed charges against the brothers, but any extradition will be delayed until the Romanian case is concluded.
