Man Arrested For Allegedly K!lling And Dismembering His 60-year-old Father In Lagos

The suspect, who fled the scene after the incident, was tracked and arrested at his hideout in Oshodi on April 20.

A 24-year-old man identified as Sowe Temidayo Igbekele has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly k!lling and dismembering his 60-year-old father, Babatunde Sowe Kayode, at their residence in Oshodi area of the state.

Police sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that the suspect was apprehended on Sunday, April 20, 2025 following a report lodged at the Alakara Division by a female relative, Temidayo Akinola, of No. 56 Igbehinadun Street, Oshodi.

According to the sources, the incident occurred on April 17 at about 9:00 a.m. within the same residence.

The motive behind the gruesome act is yet to be determined.

He said that a team of homicide detectives visited and photographed the crime scene, while the dismembered corpse of the deceased was evacuated and deposited at a public morgue for autopsy.

The suspect, who fled the scene after the incident, was tracked and arrested at his hideout in Oshodi on April 20.
