A video of a man physically assaulting a woman in Akwa Ibom State has sparked on social media, with many demanding justice for the victim.
It was gathered that the incident occurred in the victim’s shop located along Hospital Road in Abak town on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
According to reports, the woman, Rachael Ndop, was assaulted by the man identified as Hope Ekong, because she rejected his advances.
In the video making the rounds on social media, the woman is seen asking the man where he kept her food as he beats her with a stick.
Residents are calling on the police to immediately arrest and prosecute the suspect.
They also urged relevant authorities in Akwa Ibom State to ensure this case is not swept under the carpet.
