A video of a Nigerian man confronting officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority LASTMA who attempted to arrest him and other motorists for using the dedicated BRT lanes has made the rounds on social media.

In the video, the man who sounded extremely frustrated said that while heading to his destination, himself and other motorists experienced heavy traffic congestion. He said to ease the burden from the traffic, some LASTMA officials asked them to use the dedicated lanes meant for the Bus Rapid Transit BRT  vehicles.

He said they heeded this advice and used the lane only to meet another set of LASTMA officials who stopped them and insisted they committed a traffic infraction and must be arrested.
