The Nigerian Police Force has arrested a young woman for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Balogun Damilola, popularly known as Dami Richie, to death following an argument over his delayed return home after a food errand.

Details of the heartbreaking incident were shared by the victim’s sister, @nevaeh_nathanandmom, on TikTok.

According to her, the disagreement began after Dami went out to buy food for himself, his girlfriend, and a friend. Upon his return, his girlfriend reportedly questioned why he took so long. He explained that he had delivered food to his friend first, which led to a heated argument.

Feeling overwhelmed, Dami reportedly called his friend, asking to be picked up so he could leave the house. The friend initially said he had no fuel, prompting Dami to consider taking a bus instead.

However, after finding fuel, the friend insisted on picking him up. Before he could arrive, the friend received a distressing call from his wife, who said Dami’s girlfriend had called to report that Dami was no longer breathing.

Upon reaching the estate, the friend found that a neighbour was already driving Dami to the hospital. They transferred him into the friend’s vehicle and rushed him there, but he was declared dead on arrival.

“He was planning to go see my mom tomorrow. These are the foodstuff he bought. God, how do I bear this painful loss. She washed everywhere and made it look like nothing happened,” she captioned one of her videos.

The police have taken the suspect into custody and say an investigation is ongoing. The case has since drawn widespread attention online, with calls for justice for Dami Richie and scrutiny of the circumstances leading to his untimely death.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the charges or confirm further details pending the outcome of the investigation.

Replying to @Mharinah pinky he went to get food for his gf, himself and his friend when he got home his gf asked why he came late he told her he got food for his friend and went to drop it at his place, and they started arguing, my brother called his friend to come and pick him that he needs to leave the house for her, his friend said he doesn’t have fuel in his car so he hanged up, his friend knew he was angry for hanging up so he went to look for fuel and called him he’s on his way but my brother told him not to worry anymore that he’ll take bus to his place but his friend insisted on going to pick him, while he was on his way his friend got a call from his own wife that my brother’s girlfriend called him that my brother is no more breathing. He got to their estate and saw that my brother’s neighbour was already driving him to the hospital so they transferred my brother to his friends car and drove him to the hospital by the time they got there he was already dead. This is what happened he didn’t caught him cheating.
