A 29-year-old man was fatally st@bbed in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.

It was gathered that that the victim, Abdulshaheed of 777 Housing Estate, was attacked at around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 by Ali Idris Abatcha, 27, a resident of the same area.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the suspect reportedly st@bbed the victim multiple times in the back.

The Police, acting on a distress call from a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), rushed to the scene, documented the incident, and evacuated the victim to Umaru Shehu Hospital.

The victim was certified d3ad on arrival.

The suspect was arrested at the scene, and the weapon used was recovered as evidence.
