Man stabs his cousin to d3ath during fight in Benue

A 25-year-old man, Abdulraman Rabiu, allegedly st@bbed his cousin, Adamu Abubakar, to d3ath during a fight in Makurdi, Benue State.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Lafia Garage, North Bank area of Makurdi.

“It was reported that the suspect stabbed his 35-year-old cousin, Adamu Abubakar, during a physical altercation between them. The sources added that after the incident, an angry mob descended on the suspect and beat him severely before he was rescued and taken to Divine Love Hospital, Low Level, Makurdi, for treatment,” a police source said.

“Both the suspect and the victim were taken to the same hospital where Adamu was confirmed dead while receiving treatment.

Police said that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.
