The individual who falsely claimed that Senator Ned Nwoko hired him to assassinate his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has released a new video retracting the allegation and expressing remorse over the fallout.
The man’s initial claim had gone viral on social media, prompting a strong response from Senator Nwoko, who has since called for stricter social media regulation and threatened legal action against those spreading defamation.
In his latest statement, the man admitted that he never anticipated the severity of the consequences and confessed to not knowing the couple he accused. He expressed readiness to accept any penalty resulting from his actions.
“I’m Ready To Face The Consequence. Anything That Wants To Happen Should Happen. I Never Knew It Will Turn Out Like This. I Don’t Know Ned Nwoko And Regina Daniel,” the man stated in the video.
