Manchester City midfielder Rodri has been reported to the police over ‘invading his neighbours’ privacy’ with a drone.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner has been filmed flying his drone from the balcony of his penthouse suite in Manchester city centre.
Tenants allege the unmanned aircraft has been hovering outside their windows, and have expressed fears about potential privacy violations, according to a report in the Sun.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed to Daily Mail Sport that they are aware of the matter and are making enquiries.
One local resident told The Sun: ‘I live with my partner on a high floor and the last thing you expect to see when you’re watching telly is a drone a metre outside the window.
‘My wife is very unnerved by it. One of the benefits of living so high up is that you’re not overlooked by anyone, but now we are being plagued by Rodri and his drone.’
Another resident, who lives with his girlfriend on the 34th floor, claimed that they were watching television one evening when they saw a green flashing light outside their window before returning to Rodri’s top-floor patio.
This prompted the resident’s girlfriend to call 101, the number for Greater Manchester Police, to complain, according to the report.
