Joshua Zirkzee has reportedly submitted his transfer request to leave Manchester United when the 2026 January transfer window officially opens.

Joshua Zirkzee has struggled to find his a regular spot under manager Rúben Amorim, often finding himself behind other attacking options in the pecking order. The lack of playing time has triggered his departure prompting serious consideration of a winter departure.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has decided that Zirkzee does not feature in his long-term plans, with the striker’s situation further complicated by the summer arrivals of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Šeško.

There are also rpeorts that the club officials are understood to be open to considering loan offers for Zirkzee. According to reports top Italian clubs are monitoring his situation closely. Juventus and Como have both been linked with potential moves, with Zirkzee said to be open to returning to Serie A where he previously enjoyed a successful spell with Bologna.

However both parties will hope they can reach an agreement before the transfer window opens in January 2026. The next few months will be crucial. Whether he fights for his place or seeks a fresh start elsewhere, his decision could shape the next phase of a career that once promised to blossom at Old Trafford.
