A Nigerian doctor, Dr Zainab Suleiman Buhari, has advised people, both single or married, to avoid having interc0urse in the dark.
Zainab, who gave the advice in a Facebook post on Monday, September 28, 2026 explained that many people carry S3xually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and turning off the light during intimacy will prevent one from noticing visible symptoms of these infections such as sores, rashes, discharge.
She recommended conducting a visual check or undergoing laboratory testing before engaging in s3xual intercourse.
The doctor added that her advice is strictly for educational purposes and she won’t entertain unwelcome comments.
“Always do a visual check /lab testing before intimacy. And in case you want to turn off the lights, feel free but don’t hide under it to conceal infections. That is wickedness.
“Strictly for educational purposes. Flirting words not allowed. One way to get blocked here is by commenting stu**pidly. You do not have such right.”
