Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has reflected on his struggles at Old Trafford during the first half of the 2024/25 season.

Rashford waa speaking in an interview with ITV where he likened his time at Manchester United as an unfamiliar territory which was the reason behind his poor form. The 27-year-old fell down the pecking order at his childhood club since the arrival of Ruben Amorim at the start of the 2024/25 season from Sporting Lisbon.

What did Marcus Rashford say about Manchester United?

The England international confirmed that the lack of consistency at Manchester United was one of the major reason for his inconsistency.

He said,

“I feel like I’ve been in an inconsistent environment for a very, very long time. So it’s even more difficult to be consistent. I think consistency is what I need to bring into my game. And yeah, I’m looking to do that. You know, when people talk about consistency, in order to be consistent in anything, not just sports, you need consistent variables like in your life and in the way you train, and we’ve just had so many changes so far in my career.

He continued,

“But, like I said, I have to look forward, and that’s definitely one of the things that I’d want to put right and improve on, to be at my best more often. Because when I’m at my best, I really enjoy everything about the sport, so, yeah, being there is a special thing for me.”

Rashford scored four goals for Aston Villa in all competitions last season and was a key part in the club’s success in the Premier League. He has also hit the ground running at Barcelona.
