Former Seattle Sounders forward, Herculez Gomez, has told Inter Miami owner, Jorge Mas that captain, Lionel Messi needs more help.
He spoke after Inter Miami were eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions Cup on Wednesday.
According to Gomez, Inter Miami is too fragile defensively, claiming their defenders lack both legs and stability.
Messi’s goal was not enough as Inter Miami played a 1-1 draw against Nashville SC in the second leg of the Round of 16.
However, Nashville SC progressed to the next stage due to the away goal rule.
In a post on X, Gomez tweeted, “Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas wants Copa Libertadores.. Focus on the CONCACAF Champions Cup first, another painful elimination.
“Messi needs help. This team still lacks legs and stability at the back.”
