Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi, on Wednesday, made three promises to the club after returning to Le Parc des Princes following his 2022 FIFA World Cup triumph in Qatar.

Messi returned to PSG on Wednesday and was given a guard of honour and a warm welcome from his teammates and staff of the club for winning the World Cup with Argentina following an extended break.

The 35-year-old led Argentina’s national team to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar last December.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner also won the World Cup Golden Ball award for being the best player during the tournament.

However, after the warm welcome he received from his teammates and staff, Messi promised to prepare himself physically, train well and get back into the swing of things at the club.

“I’m going to prepare myself physically, train well, and get back into the swing of things so that I am ready when the staff decide that I can play,” Messi was quoted by PSG’s official website as saying.
