The German has been out of action due to a knee issue he picked up during an Arsenal training session last month. The injury has slowed Arsenal’s start to the 2025/26 season, and Kai Havertz is not expected to return any time soon.
Mikel Arteta confirmed that the midfielder will be out for months and he has been missed.
“With Kai, we know that it will be months with him. I don’t know if it can be weeks, you never know because this is Kai and he’s a different specimen,” he said. “We really miss him. Hopefully, he will be back, and back for the long term as well, so it is very important to look after that knee. So far, he’s progressing pretty well.”
Havertz missed most of the early season but came off the bench in Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Manchester United in the opening gameweek. He later picked up another knee problem during a training session last month.
The latest player to join Arsenal’s injury list is Noni Madueke, who could also be out for a few weeks after he picked up an injury in the game against Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
