A man identified simply as James, narrowly escaped being lynched after he was accused of ”stealing” another man’s manhood in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the popular Wazobia Motor Park along the Abuja-Lokoja expressway.

A witness, Josiah Gabriel, told Daily Trust that the suspect, who pretended to be a traveller, shook hands with another passenger in the park and that after some time the victim raised the alarm that his manhood had disappeared.

“When the passenger raised alarm, some people went after the man who shook hands with him and started beating him,” Gabriel said.

It was gathered that policemen and a soldier tried to rescue the suspect from the mob while some passersby rushed to the scene using their phones to record.

The suspect was later questioned by the police after the victim was rushed to a hospital.

A video posted by one Yinka Ade showed a mob assaulting a man for allegedly stealing manhood in Gwagwalada on Wednesday.
