Afrobeats veteran Timaya (Inetimi Alfred Odon) gave his fans more than they bargained for at the Gbaramatu Christmas Carnival in Delta State after a stage stunt took an unexpected turn.
The “Chulo” singer was in the middle of a high-energy performance of his 2013 hit single, “Ukwu,” when a plus-sized female fan joined him on stage.
In a video currently trending on social media, Timaya is seen attempting to lift the woman as the beat dropped. However, the momentum caused the singer to lose his balance, leading to both him and the fan collapsing onto the stage floor.
The audience initially reacted with gasps, but the atmosphere quickly turned to cheers as the singer showed his professional side.
