A US-based Nigerian lady, Blessing Nwachukwu Frank, has opened up about the grief of losing four family members, including her parents, sister and brother.
In a Facebook post on Monday, August 12, 2024, she revealed that her sister d!ed at age of 3 after she was r@ped by a 22-year-old man. She further disclosed that her father died from internal bleeding, her mother died of cancer, and she lost her brother.
“That was my baby sister. She passed on at age 3 right in front of me, after a week of being unconscious from being r@ped by a 22 year old guy,” she wrote.
Her name was Grace Chikere. She was real. She was my blood.
That was my father, age 47. Who passed on from internal bleeding after he fell during a heart attack right in front of me.
His name was Jackson Chikezie. He was real. He was my blood.
That was my mother. Age 61. Who passed on from lymphoma cancer that spread to her brain. She was my blood. My soulmate. She was real.
She was Mercy Nkeonyere.
I do not have a picture of my brother who also passed on a week before my sister.
This is why I am who I am.
My losses are my drive.
This is why I do what I do.
I do not need to prove anything to anyone. It’s my story and if I don’t tell it, someone else will.
