Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about his family’s strict approach to paternity matters, revealing that it was his billionaire father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, who insisted he take multiple DNA tests to address questions surrounding his alleged connection to teenager Anu Adeleke.
The revelation came after a fan on X (formerly Twitter) commended the Adeleke family for accepting all children, irrespective of circumstances.
Davido clarified that the repeated DNA tests were prompted by his father’s insistence on truth and clarity regarding family lineage, highlighting that such matters are taken very seriously within the family.
Known for being a dedicated father to his children from various relationships, the singer emphasized that the decision to undergo the tests was not his alone, but driven by his father’s commitment to transparency.
He explained that the Adeleke family, hailing from Osun State, places a strong emphasis on honesty and heritage. Ensuring there was no room for doubt about the claims, his father wanted the family’s reputation to remain untarnished.
