Nollywood actress Ini Edo is celebrating industry titans Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, following their record-breaking box-office achievement.
Newsunplug reported on Monday that Toyin has joined her colleague, Funke Akindele, at the billionaire club, as her 2025 movie, Oversabi Aunty, grosses N1 billion at the Box Office.
Funke had also revealed that Behind The Scenes had grossed over N2.4 billion in West Africa.

Taking to her Instagram page to celebrate them, Akindele congratulated them on their new milestone, praising them for breaking all records and pushing beyond every envelope.
She stated that her respect for them has increased, noting that their commitment, strategising, marketing, and overall game-playing are on a whole different level. Ini Edo said she knew it was overambitious of her to think she could run this December race, but she and her coconut head always follow their gut and do what they please.
“I want to congratulate these industry titans, @funkejenifaakindele and @toyinabraham, for literally breaking all records and pushing beyond every envelope to record these groundbreaking successes for Nollywood.
Brah, my respect for these 2 has taken a hike. The level of commitment, strategising, marketing, and playing the game is generally on a whole different level.
I knew it was kinda over ambitious of me to think I could run this whole December race, but me and my coconut head.
I’ve always known myself to follow my gut and do as I please. So yeah, I sacrificed my holiday to achieve an ambition. I am particularly proud of myself, my team @yfalaye @beccaashang @edojnr and some cast members, particularly @euchariaanunobi @ikogbonna @unusualphyna @chief_femibranch, who were kind enough to stay committed to the project.
We came, we pushed, we made our mark, and we learnt our lessons for each of you. Don’t be afraid of making that move.
What’s the worst that could happen?
Win or lose, we move, 2026.
I fit try am again o
However, A Very Dirty Christmas is still showing in cinemas in the Uk and in Nigerian cinemas. So, can we now all go and watch???”.
