Nigerian music star Davido has reaffirmed his love for his wife, Chioma, after his Grammy snub.
Newsunplug reported that the singer, alongside Burna Boy and Ayra Starr, lost to South African singer Tyla for the Best African Music Performance award at the 2026 Grammy Awards, which was held on Sunday, February 1st.

Breaking his silence, he shared photos from his Grammy’s appearance with his wife, Chioma and his manager, Asa Asika. The singer stated that God is on his side.

On his Instagram page, the famous singer revealed how his wife encouraged him to attend the Grammys. According to him, he didn’t want to go because he was assured he would lose, but Chioma told him to go, noting that there is victory in humility and grace in defeat.

“I said, baby, listen, we lost again, let’s not go ! she said
‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat, we outside”.
Not done, he took to his Instagram story to hail her, calling her his ride-or-die.
