A series of audio recordings between controversial Nigerian singer Portable and Saida Boj have surfaced online, detailing their negotiation for a music feature.
The audio, shared by the Instagram blog @wahalanonetwork, captures Saida Boj asking Portable for his fee to appear on her upcoming EP. Portable initially quoted ₦10 million for the feature.
Saida Boj, who revealed the song was for her EP, told him she could not afford the price. She stated, “This one no be for social media chasing. Na serious matter. This is my song. I’m doing an EP and I need you on it,”.
Portable eventually reduced the fee to ₦8 million but insisted on his value, claiming his contribution could transform her career. He stated: “My verse can change your life. I’m a big man. You are talking to a star. Before you go far, you will like to feature with someone who has a future,”.
Saida Boj, known for her sharp replies, pushed back, emphasizing, “Guy, everybody get future. You big for music,”.
