The Super Eagles will know for sure if they will play at the 2026 World Cup today when they host Benin Republic in their final qualifying fixture.

The game will be played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.

Gernot Rohr arrives back in Nigeria, with his team top of Group C on 17 points, three more than the Eagles.

Although it is a three-horse race, Benin have the best chance of qualifying from the group.

They only need one point from their game against Nigeria on Tuesday, to be certain of their ticket to the World Cup.

South Africa will be keeping a keen eye on proceedings in Uyo as they host Rwanda.

Bafana Bafana also need victory in their game to be absolutely sure of qualification.

For Eric Chelle’s men, a huge win is needed to stand a chance of finishing top or in playoff spots.

If Nigeria fails to qualify, it will be the second consecutive World Cup they are missing, as they were not at Qatar 2022.
