A Nigerian man who dated an American woman has shared why he ended the relationship.
On the Threads platform, Kingsley Kriss wrote: “I once dated an American woman who constantly made it feel like being with her was a favor she was doing me, as a Nigerian, as if the relationship was somehow about me getting a visa.
“One day, I woke up after a careful review of things and decided to end everything. I also made it clear to her that not everyone in Nigeria is desperate or hungry.
“She was a single mother of two, and God knows I truly loved those boys. We bonded, and I was willing to build a family with her and the kids. But I had to let it go rather than continue in a relationship where I was constantly being disrespected by their mother.
“I’m well loved, respected and cherish at home. I work on different things that brings good money, Plus my faith in Christ makes me well grounded.
“So ‘NO’ we don’t tolerate disrespect over here.”
