Viral social media posts by a Nigerian hair vendor, Esther Okereke, who accused her husband, have shown that she maintained a public persona of being in a happy marriage with a supportive and loving spouse.
NEWSUNPLUG reported that Esther took to social media to raise the alarm, alleging that her husband of 8 years, Justice Okereke Ezechimere from Imo state, is planning to k!ll her in order to steal her house and other property.
In the viral video, Esther revealed that she has endured eight years of abuse and violence in the marriage.
She said she recently returned to Nigeria from a business trip in Vietnam and noticed that her husband allegedly took her documents and left their house.
She said she’s tired of the marriage and wants a divorce, adding that her husband should be held responsible if anything bad happens to her.
However, her latest domestic violence allegations contrast with the image of marital bliss she has always portrayed on social media.
In her posts dated January 2024 and September 2025, she described her husband as her support system, thanking him for not “stopping her wings from flying”
“The bone of my bone. The flesh of my flesh. The crown upon my head. My backbone. My support system. This man will literally stay awake to make sure I am breathing,” she wrote.
“Abeg make una help me say a prayer for this man that changed my life. I never knew hubby has been monitoring me since from that Facebook, my consistency, my hard work, the things I post, the things I say, in fact it was just God.”
Meanwhile, she shared another video on Thursday showing her receiving medical treatment in an undisclosed hospital
“Since I got married, I have not rested,” she said in the clip.
