Ekiti United have expressed disappointment with their Nigeria National League, NNL, matchday seven defeat to Sporting Lagos.

Bolarinwa Idris’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan on Monday.

Ekiti United believed that their team deserved more from the game.

They expressed gratitude to the club’s supporters for keeping faith with team.

“Not the result we deserved despite all the hard work put into the match, as we suffered a 2–1 defeat against Sporting Lagos,” Ekiti United stated after their game.

“We extend our special appreciation to all our fans around the globe those who travelled with us to Lagos and those who supported us via the streaming platforms.”

Ekiti United dropped to fourth position on the Conference B table with 12 points after seven matches.
