Olufela Oluwafemi Anikulapo kuti popularly known as Femi Kuti was born on 16th June 1962.

He was born in London and raised in Lagos, Nigeria.

He is the eldest son of Human right activist and Afro-pop originator Olufela Kuti.

The “one people, one world” crooner, Femi Kuti’s music is so inspiring and full of awareness of social ills that plague Africa.

Femi is one of the prominent black Afro-pop stars.

He was also prominent on Wizkid song Jaiye Jaiye in which he was featured.

The Afro music star like his father Fela Kuti preaches against human humiliation, racism and bad governance through his songs.

Femi once said in one of his songs, “What love song could I have or could I play that would be more important than this hardship that I personally face every day? I don’t see the love song that is more important than singing for justice“.

Listen to his song “Truth don die” and become a fan.
