Kano Pillars technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede has commended his players for ending their winless run with a victory over Katsina United.
The Sai Masu Gida beat Katsina United 1-0 at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kano on Sunday.
Ibrahim Yahaya grabbed the only goal of the game in the sixth minute.
It was Kano Pillars’ first victory in their last five NPFL matches.
Ogunmodede praised his players for their resilience in the keenly contested encounter.
“I will say congratulations to my boys for the win, in the last five matches we haven’t tasted victory which isn’t good for the players,” Ogunmodede told the club’s media.
“We knew what to expect from the opponent after their recent performance, i will say kudos to my boys for taking in the pressure and getting the win.
“The most important thing is getting the maximum points and breaking the chain of the winless run, am happy with that.”
