Remo Stars head coach, Sulaiman Folarin, has admitted that his team was unlucky in the defeat to Bendel Insurance.
The Sky Blue Stars 3-2 at home to Insurance on Sunday.
Henry Onyia, Wisdom Udom were on target for Bendel Insurance while Adeleke Olamilekan and Victor Mbaoma netted for Remo Stars.
The defeat was their second home loss of the campaign.
Folarin insisted that the players showed promise despite the defeat.
“After the game had ended you can see that the players tried their best despite the defeat,” Folarin told Remo Stars media.
“My team was just unlucky with the defeat.”
The defending champions sit in 15th on the league table with 22 points, two points above the relegation zone.
