Kun Khalifat FC head coach, Obinna Uzoho has reflected on his team’s home win over Shooting Stars, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

The Owerri club defeated Shooting Stars 2-0 in a Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 25 encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday.

James Ekebuike gave the hosts the lead in the 24th minute, while Blessed Iyamu doubled the advantage two minutes after the break.

Uzoho said the win is a testament of his team’s hard work and dedication.

The gaffer also praised the home fans for their support throughout the game.

“We’re delighted with the win, and it’s a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication. Our players were at their best.

“We’ve been working on our set pieces, and it paid off today. The crowd was fantastic, and we’re grateful for their support,” Uzoho said after the game.

Despite the win, Kun Khalifat FC remain rooted to bottom spot on the NPFL table.

The Oba Boys will be away to Barau FC in their next game at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
