The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed no fewer than 2,010 personnel for Saturday’s House of Assembly election in the state.

This was contained in a statement issued on Friday March 17, by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Daniel Aidamenbor.

According to the statement, the state Commandant of the Corps, Mr. Olatundun Olayinka, said the personnel of the Corps had been deployed in strategic locations across the state to ensure a hitch-free election and warned the personnel against being partisan.

Addressing the Corps that would be on duty for the election, the NSCDC boss said, “This is a national assignment. Hence, it must be accorded all seriousness. Report to your assigned duty posts on time without delay.

“We warn you against unprofessional conduct by indulging yourselves in sharp practices capable of causing harm to the electoral process and affecting your career.”

The commandant urged them to be good ambassadors of the Corps by ensuring that their conduct did not violate its ethical code and the basic rules of engagement.

“No misconduct will be accepted while wishing you all safe conduct of the assignment,” he charged
