Super Falcons midfielder, Deborah Abiodun had been voted Rookie of the Month for September in the Nigeria Women’s Soccer League, NWSL.

Abiodun started three of Washington Spirit’s four league games in the month under review.

This is the first time she will be winning the award.

The 21-year-old led all midfielders in possession in the middle third of the pitch with a staggering passing accuracy of 87.3%.

Abiodun was recalled by Washington Spirit from her loan spell from Dallas Trinity in August.
