Ondo police arrests seven employees for allegedly stealing goods worth N20m from their employers shop

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested seven (7) suspects in connection with a conspiracy and stealing case involving goods valued at N20.45 million from a commercial store in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of the State.

A statement from the command’s spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, says on January 3, 2026, one Ogunyomi Segun ‘M’, a resident of Ore, reported at the Ore Divisional Police Headquarters that between the year 2024 and 3rd January, 2026, some of his employees conspired to steal goods from his store.

‘’The complainant stated that the suspects stole assorted goods, including soft drinks, Trophy cans, and other canned beverages, with a total estimated value of Twenty Million, Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N20,450,000.00). The suspects were identified as the complainant’s storekeeper, Oyineke Joseph, male; his computer operator, Abioye Yusuf, male; and another staff member, Abdullahi Quadir, male; while three receivers of the goods namely Micheal Njoku, male; Agu Monday, male; and Ikuemehin Oloruntimilehin, male; a driver identified as Ojewuyi, male, were also arrested”

Jimoh said during investigation, the suspects confessed to the crime and clearly stated the roles each of them played in the unlawful act.

He mentioned that they will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
