Victor Osimhen is in a happy mood after he was awarded the prestigious national honour, Member of the Federal Republic (MFR).

Osimhen was among the important personalities awarded different national awards by outgoing President Muhammad Buhari on Sunday.

The 24-year-old made his 100th appearance for his Serie A club, Napoli, against Bologna on Sunday.

The forward marked the occasion with two goals as the Partenopei were held to a 2-2 draw.

Osimhen took to social media to celebrate his personal achievements.

“Today, I feel so blessed and grateful as I announce that I have been awarded the prestigious Member of the order of the Federal Republic (MFR) award by the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.

“Today also marked my 100th game for Napoli and I was fortunate to score 2 goals for my club.”
