Panic As Bandits Abduct Catholic Priest In Kaduna

Intelligence sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that a group of armed bandits invaded Kurmin Rizga, firing sporadically, and kidnapped Rev. Ibrahim James, taking him to an unknown location.

Bandits have kidnapped the parish priest of St. Gerald’s Quasi Parish in Kurmin Rizga village, located in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Rev. Fr. James Ibrahim was abducted in the early hours of Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Intelligence sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that a group of armed bandits invaded Kurmin Rizga, firing sporadically, and kidnapped Rev. Ibrahim James, taking him to an unknown location.

In response, the Nigerian Army troops of 1 Division in collaboration with other security agencies launched a search operation to locate and rescue the priest unharmed.

Efforts to apprehend the suspects and ensure the victim’s safe return are ongoing.
