Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba, has reacted to the not guilty of rape verdict on former Manchester City defender, Benjamin Mendy.

DAILY POST reported that the jury gave its verdict on the rape allegations against Mendy on Friday,

The embattled footballer was discharged and acquitted of all rape charges brought against him.

Mendy, 28, who has played for clubs like Manchester City, AS Monaco, and Marseille during his career, was accused by some women of rape.

A 24-year-old woman claimed that Mendy misconducted himself sexually with her in 2020 at the footballer’s Cheshire house.

Another 29-year-old woman claimed the French left-back did the same with he in 2018.

However, Mendy was found not guilty of the charges, as the jury ruled that all the acts he was accused of were consensual.

Reacting, Pogba, in a post on his Instagram account, said he was happy for Mendy, adding that he wants to see the people who talked bad against him clean his name.

The former Manchester United star also said he could not wait to see Mendy back on the pitch.

Pogba wrote: “Al Hamdullilah. So happy for you bro. All the people who were talking bad about you. Now I wanna see them clean your name. Can’t wait to see [you] on the pitch again.”
