Nigerian social media personality Peller has praised Pastor Tobi for teaching his church members how to make money, saying prayer should be accompanied by practical effort.
According to Peller, what sets Pastor Tobi apart is that he does not only preach to his members but also teaches them ways to improve their finances.
“Pastor Tobi doesn’t just preach, he teaches his members how to make money that’s the best,” Peller said.
He compared this approach with what he described as the focus of many churches in Nigeria, where members are encouraged to keep praying without necessarily taking practical steps towards achieving their goals.
Peller said people need to “pray and show workings for God to bless you,” adding that they should not simply pray and remain at home expecting a breakthrough.
He then recalled the example of his mother, saying she used to pray a lot but also sold noodles and went to work.
“My mom used to pray alot then but she sells noodles too so she pray and go to work and she meets her helper,” he said.
Peller’s comments have sparked reactions online, with some questioning what Pastor Tobi actually does to make money while others dismissed the statement as publicity.
