Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre is in a buoyant mood following her impressive performance in Al-Ittihad’s 6-2 victory against Al-Ahly.
The centre-back scored a hat-trick in the derby victory.
Plumptre scored Al Ittihad’s second, fourth and fifth goals.
The 25-year-old took to social media to celebrate the victory.
“A blessing to experience every moment with this team. Enjoyed my first derby game with this group and grateful for the hattrick in front of our incredible fans,” she wrote on her official X handle.
It was her second hat-trick for the Jeddah-based club.
Plumptre is also joint-top scorer in the league with Tanzania’s Clara Luvanga, who plays for Al Nassr.
