Nigerian musician Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, recently shared a post online that raised concern among his fans.
The self-proclaimed “Jesus” of the music scene took to his Instagram story to post a short message asking for his followers’ prayers. Despite its simplicity, the post sparked worry that something could be troubling the “Apako Master.”
In the message, Terry G requested prayers but did not explain the reason behind it. He included his signature symbols a bell and a praying hands emoji possibly emphasizing the prayer request.
Fans and followers, many of whom have noticed the singer’s recent change in appearance after cutting his long-time dreadlocks, reacted with curiosity and concern. Several asked what kind of prayers he needed, while others urged that his request be taken seriously.
One follower commented on the courage it takes to speak up during challenging times, noting that many people are facing struggles today.
A female fan expressed worry, hoping that nothing would happen to Terry G, especially since he is scheduled to perform in Calabar soon.
Meanwhile, some fans responded humorously, saying they also need prayers and joking that the singer might be hinting at a new music release. Speculations arose that “Pray For Me” could potentially be the title of an upcoming single.
