Aisha Yusufu, co-organizer of the campaign group “BringBackOurGirls”, has once again blown up President Muhammadu Buhari and declared that the 77-year-old Nigerian leader is doing the same work with Nigerian Instagram celebrity and alleged Internet fraudster Raymond Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi.

According to Aisha, Buhari was not transparent enough in his government, as many would have you believe, and pointed out that since taking office as Nigerian president in 2015, Buhari has failed to publish his campaign contributions and bank statement.

Hushpuppi was recently arrested on 10 June in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, UAE, on alleged fraudulent charges and is said to have defrauded 1,926,400 people.

On her official Twitter handle, Aisha wrote: “Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari and Hushpuppi are in the same business.

“They have both cheated millions of their money! Where are the donations for the Buhari Campaign 2015, bank statement?

“While Hushpuppi cheated financially, Buhari cheated both financially and politically.

The Nigerian government had meanwhile reacted to Hushpuppi’s arrest in Dubai for alleged fraud.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of the Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, said that the arrest of Hushpuppi should not be used to convict Nigerians living abroad.
