American rapper Offset is currently in stable condition after being shot outside a Florida casino on Monday.
Offset, a former member of the hip-hop group Migos, was reportedly attacked in a valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, according to his spokesperson.
He is presently receiving treatment in a hospital and is being closely monitored. Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear at this time.
Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is ongoing. According to the Seminole Police Department, two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.
“The site is secure, and there is no threat to the public,” police said in a statement, adding that “operations continue as normal.”
Offset, who was previously married to Cardi B, shares three children with the music star.
The incident has drawn renewed attention to past violence involving members of Migos. In 2022, fellow group member Takeoff was shot and killed at the age of 28 outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, where he had been with his uncle and collaborator Quavo.
The suspect in that case, Patrick Clark, has pleaded not guilty and is expected to face trial later this year, according to reports.
