Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan has called out relationship therapist Blessing CEO over her recent statements about battling breast cancer.
During an Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, Blessing CEO disclosed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer at a hospital in Nigeria. She explained that she was uncertain about the stage of the illness and could not provide a clear estimate of the cost of surgery. She also admitted to overstating certain details while appealing for financial assistance, adding that she would eventually require funds for treatment.
Responding to her remarks, VeryDarkMan accused her of misleading the public. He stated that he had already sent money to her account but demanded clarity regarding the specifics of her diagnosis, particularly the stage of the cancer.
He further warned that her actions could be interpreted as fraudulent, emphasizing that collecting money under false pretences is a serious offence.
In a video addressing the situation, he said his funds were already in her account and insisted that the situation must not appear as though the public had been deceived. He also indicated that he could demand a refund at any time.
The activist added that although he had been preoccupied with other matters, he would eventually revisit the issue and ensure accountability.
He advised against taking advantage of public sympathy, stressing the importance of honesty and transparency when seeking financial help for medical conditions.
The situation has since generated intense reactions online, with many Nigerians questioning the credibility of Blessing CEO’s claims and supporting calls for clarity regarding the matter.
