Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, has threatened to use “every necessary means” to track down and sue a social media user who alleged he coerced a former domestic worker a claim the singer described as defamatory.
The controversy began after photos from the 25th birthday celebration of Rudeboy’s wife, Ivy Ifeoma, circulated on X (formerly Twitter).
A user, @Zoyablooms, who calls herself an ‘Evil Feminist,’ mocked the couple’s age difference, while another user, @darkskinnedtemi, also identifying as a feminist, asked whether Rudeboy “also cheat on his wife with their housemaid.”
The situation escalated when @chubbiedivah, under the same category of accounts, posted a more serious allegation claiming the singer “raped/coerced their domestic help. She’s the help, how could she say no? plus she was most likely wayyyy younger.” She added, “When he was found out, he sent his wife and sister-in-law at the time out of the house. very yanmayanma nigga.”
Fans alerted Rudeboy to the posts, prompting him to respond publicly on X, stating he would find the user and “use every necessary means, power, resources and money” to hold them accountable.
In his words:

(scapegoat )… your only way out is to leave the surface of this earth and relocate to space .. to everyone that brought my attention to her tweet … thank you 🙏🏾.”
After Rudeboy’s response gained traction, @chubbiedivah deactivated her X and Instagram accounts, seemingly attempting to escape the legal action the singer threatened.
