Popular Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, professionally known as Sabinus, has spoken in defence of young TikTok star Peller following his highly publicised breakup with fellow influencer Jarvis in December 2025.
Using his own past experience, Sabinus urged the public to show understanding toward Peller. He revealed that he once bought a Range Rover for a former girlfriend out of love, explaining that emotions can sometimes push people into making expensive decisions.
The comedian made this disclosure during a live session with Sandra Benede, where he reflected on personal heartbreak and how love can lead people into situations they later regret.
According to Sabinus, Jarvis caused Peller deep emotional pain, a situation he said he could relate to because he had once been in a similar position.
In his own words, he said:
“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is a bad thing. I gifted a girl a Range Rover because of love, so nobody should blame Peller.”
By referencing the costly gift, Sabinus illustrated how love can influence judgement, even among successful individuals, and lead to actions driven purely by emotion.
His comments highlighted the emotional fragility that often comes with relationships, particularly for public figures whose personal struggles are constantly exposed to public scrutiny.
Sabinus’s message was a call for empathy rather than criticism, reminding fans that fame and wealth do not protect anyone from heartbreak.
His intervention follows Peller’s dramatic split from Jarvis in December 2025. The situation worsened after Peller crashed his Mercedes-Benz during an Instagram Live session on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, an incident he later said was caused by emotional distress after an argument with Jarvis.
Peller was briefly hospitalised and later confirmed that the relationship had ended. He also announced that 2026 would be a “girl-free” year, stating that he plans to focus on personal growth.
